Right now it looks like the following are all locks for a top 3 finish.
Lalang
Korir
Derrick
Puskedra
Estrada
Batty
Levins
Mead
Hill
When is the last time we had nine people finish in the top three?

My guess is that there will be 3 people in the top 3.
I'm guessing there will be 3 people in the top 3 and that there has never been 9 in the top 3 but I could be wrong?
Definitely 3
Remove Luke PUKEsedra from that list. He is really overrated.

This really annoys me. Puskedra was 5th as true freshman and 3rd last year. He's been injured for the last few months but will still probably be top 20 at Nationals, maybe even top 10. Why should Hill, Estrada, Mead, Batty, Levins be on that list on and not him? Yeah they're running better than him right now because he was injured but when the f&@ck were any of them close to 3rd at Nationals? Were any of them even ever top 14? No. So please, tell me how the f*ck is Luke Puskedra overrated?
For those of you insisting that only three will be in the top three, let me ask you which of these guys you don't think will make it. I really can't see any of them not making top three, except for maybe Puskedra, arguably Levins or Mead but even then that's a stretch, and that still leaves at LEAST six guys in the top three. Think about it before just coming on here and insisting that there can only be three.
There will be 3 in the top 3 - Lalang, Korir and Chelimo. German will be 4th and Derrick will be the token white guy.

I like the way you think.

Scratch that, Ryan Hill puts Chelimo in his place at Southeast Regionals.
hell I think Lalang, Korrir, and even German could all be the champion.
There's really going to be only two in the top three because if you're not first, you're last. Ryan Hill will be first. Go Wolfpack. Everybody else will be last.

No, no, you are definitely correct. There will be and has always been only 3 people in the top 3. I googled "has there ever been 4 or more people in the top 3" just to be sure and all sources seemed to agree that we are correct.
this thread is hysterical. the top three with be lalang, korir, german fernandez and cam levins. four in the top three. like a boss.
This is what makes the sport great. All those guys have it in their head that they can win even though German Fernandez will be the winner.
