Quit kidding yourself, you don't have a girlfriend.
I'm part of a running club in the area, you can look up a couple nice routes mapped on our site: http://www.anchoragerunningclub.org/
Wait. I'm unclear here. Why are you here in LA? In any event I think I have some pretty good routes for you to do.
Run west on Sunset Boulevard and then take a left onto 405. Make sure you are watching your footing though, great path but there are some obstacles.
But really, why are you staying near UCLA? Something about an imaginary friend?
Actually the Marina Freeway is better, part of the 84 Olympic Marathon route.

But in all seriousness, you can run all around campus, but for the best running in West LA get yourself to the corner of San Vicente and Ocean Ave. and run--up San Vicente or over Ocean.
Why would you give your real email address on letsrun? That's just asking to be signed up for porn lists.
Seems like most people here don't want to be helpful, so I'll help you out:
If you want to run trails, there are several within a short drive:
West Mandeville -- park at the top of Westridge Rd; goes 3.5 miles up to the old Nike missile station and Dirt Mulholland, which you can take practically forever.
Sullivan Canyon -- park at the intersection of Capri and Amalfi; trail begins at the top of Capri (take a left on Casale), paved for the first 2 miles, then dirt for another 3 or 4. Hits Dirt Mulholland about a mile west of the Nike station.
Temescal -- park at Sunset and Temescal Canyon. Trail begins in Temescal Gateway Park. Take the ridge trail (better views), steep for the first mile, then beautiful and rolling. Also, singletrack, unlike the previous two.
If you want to run roads, you can obviously do whatever. There's a wood chip path around the exterior of UCLA that's about 4 miles total. You can run down Wilshire to San Vicente, take a right there, and run San Vicente to the beach. You'll see lots of people running in the grass median on San Vicente or around the Brentwood CC. If you make it all the way down to Ocean and want to go further, hop on the boardwalk (run down the ramp for the pier to get to it) and take it north to Temescal or south to Venice.
Enjoy LA!
Thanks to all the people who helped out, these are some great options, already got some runs planned. Gave out my email in case people wanted to email me to run, and I actually did get a couple, so I'm excited to make some new friends while I'm out there. Thanks again.
Check out Runyon Canyon. Always a favorite trail when I visit LA.
