Hello! I am new to the letsrun message boards and would like to ask a few questions about my training.
I am currently a junior in high school and want to make a huge impact on my junior season of track. I currently run 1:57.xx (in my few splits in which i ran the 800, ran one open early in the season) a 4:30 1600m, and split a 49.3 in the 400m. I would really like to be able to achieve times around (or better than) 48s for the 400, 1:52-53 for the 800, and 4:15(ish) for the 1600. I will do whatever it takes to achieve this. In the past summer i ran around 40-45mpw and did a spinning class every once in a while. What type of training should i do? Is it possible? Also, what can i do besides running to get better (such as swimming and lifting). A response would be greatly appreciated and thank you very much in advance!
