Wardian fresh off the 50 miler, 2nd place in the Marine Corps Marathon - 2:23:46. If there were a running Tour de France that required marathon length runs day after day, I think Wardian would be a favorite. He bounces back incredibly well!

Wardian is bib #1 for the JFK 50 in about 6 weeks. Should be a nice battle between him & Dave Mackey. Expect Wardian to come out on top. 2 weeks later he'll be @ the The North Face 50 in Frisco which should be a lot more difficult to win with people like Roes, etc lined up.
I've never heard of Mackey or Roes. Are these elite ultra runners? Being a big fish in a small pond is what this ultra running scene seems to be all about. It is like in the book "Born to Run" where they mention how elite the tarahumara are at ultras..but then they never show up as well! Why don't these runners do Boston or some real race like a marathon if they want to race the best and challenge their limits.
