Maddie Meyers is the only PNW athlete in that top ten? You're missing a couple notable names from Washington State.

So Wrong is so right.
I was thinking more along the lines of:
1. Macedo
2. Fanning
3. Neale
4. Finn
5. Seidel
6. Verdon
7. Knight
8. ??? (about half a dozen girls would be fighting for this spot and to round out the top 10...)

Hauger. Forgot Hauger, she is right there with Knight as well. I'd probably say Nightingale and Garcia would be the other two in the top 10 so far.
My 2 lists were for seniors only sorry about not stating that :(
I lied to baked right now i got those 2 lists from prepgold lol

She is having a very nice season. She is undefeated so far. Her first big test will be at the state federation meet where she will face Fanning,Nerud,Margey,Nadel and the list goes on. Nothing she does surprises me so am very excited for rest of season! This is all a great base for what I know will be some kickass miling for her this year!
It is likely that some or all of those four will not run Feds......skipping it for the next weekend's NXN Regional.
what happened to Sarah Baxter (CA) the girl broke Hasay freshman record?
I've heard that Scott Fry is tearing it up this season - one of the best ever from Ohio.
Straight from Dyestat:
1. Julie Macedo
2. Carrie Verdon
3. Amy-Eloise Neale
4. Karlie Garcia
5. Samantha Nightingale
6. Erin Finn
7. Madeline Ankhelyi
8. Julia Bos
9. Sophie Chase
10. Taylor Manett
top 10 girls as of right now.

Correct. Fayettville will run only NXN reg. for sure. Bronxville will run feds, and depending on results possibly NXN reg. North Shore ran both last yr so will probably do same. Margey transferred schools so she will probably go for NXN or FL, maybe both. Mary Cain is up in the air right now because if team exceeds expectations they will go for NXN, if not she might just go for Footlocker. It can get confusing with all the scenarios but will be fun none the less!
That's definitely not the Dyestat top 10.
I consider myself pretty well informed about high school XC, and this would be my top 10:
1. Julie Macedo (crazy strong, great times, beat Haley Pierce by 42 seconds)
2. Erin Finn (racking up awesome times and course record in Michigan, first big test will be if she can go sub 17 at state and get Goethals' record)
3. Molly Seidel (awesome 4k times, looking forward to seeing what she can do later in the season over 5k, and if she can dip under 13 in the 4k)
4. Amy Eloise-Neale (so much stronger this year than last)
5. Jillian Fanning (looked pretty dominant at Manhattan)
6. Sarah Baxter (coming back from injury, looked good at Mt. Sac)
7. Katie Knight (overshadowed by Neale, but awesome runner)
8. Carrie Verdon (been pretty quiet lately)
9. Karlie Garcia (strong solo run at Mt. Sac)
10. Mary Cain (breaks into top 10 after impressive run on Bowdoin course)
AGREED! VERY GOOD LIST!

As others have said... that is not Dyestat's top-10 rankings. Steve's full list hasn't been published yet, but they include a top-5 teaser each week in the DyeCast videos that they do... and so we know what Steve's top-5 is this week (same as last week):
1. Macedo
2. Finn
3. Neale
4. Seidel
5. Verdon
That is probably the best top-10 I've seen this year (only changes I would consider are slight). Very good!
Seidel is interesting. She never looks like she is going that fast, but 3:20 per kilo on XC courses makes for a pretty quick pace. She 'only' races 4000m at this point, but it will be interesting to see what her solo run is on the state course that has had a few good runners over the years.
Lukas Verzbicas.
Seidel is also interesting because she rarely ever runs a 5K. Last year we saw a 17:06 (?) at Kenosha (the Footlocker Midwest course - not an easy course) - a time that would’ve won Footlocker Midwest. Unfortunately she struggled at FL Midwest due to injury. If she runs that meet again, it’ll be interesting to see if she can go for the course record and dip under 17. Also, can she break 13 in the 4k at State? We’ll see. Going out in 5:12 and 10:33 is just crazy.
