Hard to say... He was interviewed on FTF after the college season ended, and he really didn't even talk about stepping up in distance -- he was all 10K blah, blah, blah.

Should be interesting to see him at the Half.
60:45
I think sub 61 is a possibility, it really depends on the competition though as I don't see him hammering up front by himself.
Bump. I'm shocked this isn't being talked about.
hammering up in front? isnt that what he always did in cross country? hammering up in front....?

Cross country was his tuft and that was collegiate cross country. When he measures up with real elites, it is more likely he won't hammer it from the front. And mind you, this is his debut! It makes all senses that he should rather not take it from the front to see how he fares.
who cares he's just a Kenyan import. I read the other day at times in Iten up to 400 runners line up on a trail for a workout. I want to know what our American-born runners are doing.
Sam Chelanga will run 59:35, if that is what it takes to win.
This isn't a fast course, sub 60 could be tough.
just under 62

Cuz ya know, normally it's easy.
Ha! Sorry I meant to say sub 60 is unlikely.
Sub 60? Really? Sorry, but that's not happening. I give him 62:42, starting with the leaders and fading near the end.

I doubt BH will get his knickers knotted because some random les'srunner called him an idiot.
On the other hand if xc&twack called out that guy who's not a moderator ...
