What do all of you think about training for XC, indoor and outdoor and trying to peak (qualify) for championships at each. essentially I am wondering if it is wise to train like an animal for xc, take a short rest jump right into intervals and try to peak indoor by Feb. After indoor you are right back to the intervals hard again, trying to qualify for outdoor champs. Would it not be wise to run xc, rest (1-2weeks) then build up again with some aerobic training and adding some longer runs again without the interval traing so soon. If the head coach wants to have his runners peak indoor and outdoor, after XC is n't that suicide. What do you think?
