disappointed :-( ..had some hope that Genzebe Dibaba's fresh legs might save us, but she faded into fourth.. and do not understand the strategy used by the Ethiopian team, knowing that Vivian has a better kick than any of them at the moment, letting the race go so slow..now we can admit the Defar/Dibaba era is basically over and look for fresh start.. hope our guys will deliver on sunday!
You can't be surprised.
Well, it was basically a repeat of what happened two years ago in Berlin.
Personally I don't know what tactics the Ethiopians could've tried to beat the Kenyans. Simply put, Cheruiyot is the best distance runner on the planet this year and Defar had no chance of beating that, given her form of late.

Pretty much. She was in better shape in Berlin, but was under the weather by the time the meet came around. This time she was healthy, but just not as fit as Vivian.
Great double by Cheruiyot ,she really seems to have got Defar's number. Looks to have everything speed , strength and a good racing brain.Tirunesh Dibaba remains the big unknown at this point can she get back to what she was ,because she is the only one i can see stopping Cheruiyot doubling in london. As far as i know Cheruiyot has never beaten Dibaba in a track race .Dibaba's last race was in London just over a year ago.
I hope so as i have got tickets for the women's 10000m.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Ryan Eiler, 3rd American man at Boston, almost out of nowhere
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
