bring back the katanas

4mm heel toe drop would be awesome. As it is the shoes are just a bit too high back there in the heel.
The current version has a 6mm heel to toe drop. I personally don't think it's too high in the back.
Nike uses the ad agency Weiden + Kennedy.
That's the website and there is contact info.there.

thank you very much
Stop making them in child labor sweatshops
LR2 is my regular training shoe. I have run 2 marathons in them as well. I'm 5'11, 225 pounds. 53yo.
I like the LR1/LR3 for shorter distances, just feel so fast!!! They are a bit tight up front so I can't wear them too long.
Keep them as they are currently; new colors would be nice.
Did some intervals with them last night. I can't tell you how much I HATE this "innerlays" that chew up my pinky toes. What were they thinking? Nike, PLEASE remove these.
They get too soaked with sweat, thus making a sloppy feel and increased weight. Make the upper a bit more breathable.
Cut out some of the midsole... especially in the heel. There is no need to have a racing shoe that thick. Maybe densen up the lunar foam midsole just a bit as well.
Finally, I notice discomfort and extra pressure on the bottom of the ball of my foot. This has led to aching after runs as well as blisters.
Last two nights I've been out in the new LRs have been great runs, BUT my shoes are ridiculously soaking wet. I'm poking my own drainage holes in these tonight. I also left them outside one night and now they smell like death. I tried washing them and spraying them down with cat-pee killer, but there's still a bit-o stink lingering. Poor, poor me. And nobody sells them in retail stores here. Oh the humanity. Please, do something about the fabric. Mesh!
Same experience in my run specialty, for the above reason. LR2 was a slight improvement, but still a little too high, and the heel is too high as well. Also, not responsive enough.
Oh, easily. When I first heard about the Lunar foam I was really excited picturing a shoe like the Lunarspiders. The actual Lunarracers that debuted were a bit disappointing to me.
This, a thousand times this! I will admit, the Lunarspider line appeals to me because of how similar it seems to the Katana, just with the lunar foam.
And as far as colors go, definitely the white with red or blue swoosh. Best looking flat you guys ever did was the Streak XC in plain white with a red stripe and a black swoosh. Clean, sharp, no frills, cool.
and bring back something more equivalent to the fit and feel of the Zoom Marathoner...those things were perfect!
Dis agree about the Zoom Marathoner. Midsole was far too firm on those and the fit was poor. They were like running on bricks.
Came back to this thread for additional input regarding color...
My 16 yo daughter is now training in the LR3 in the womens color hot neon pink over white with a black swoosh. She pulled the pink strings out and replaced them with black. The black strings make that shoe look bitchin'
Makes me want to replace the white strings on my green Zoom XC's with black!
Wow, you really *are* the nikeman.

Post your input here and I will forward this thread to the design guys at Nike.
They are releasing new colors of the current model for now. The redesign is going to focus primarily on the upper, with a lighter and more breatheable material.
I agree with most here. I can put my orthotics in the 2 and train in them and go longer. The re-release fits best, but kills my pinky toes.
nikeman, thanks for the update! When will the the new colors be available? With the Lunaracer being my daily trainer (and favorite shoe in years), I'm glad there doesn't appear to be any major changes planned.
I just found the LR in blue/orange on runningwarehouse - looks good. Will there be other colorways before the redesign is available?
new colors are available now, the redesign won't be available until fall, at the earliest
