Lunarelite is lighter, firmer in the forefoot and generally less cushioned.
Is the LunarElite anything like the Zoom Elite that Nike used to make?
No. Nike might look at it as being in the same segment - light trainer - but it's a completely different shoe with a "lunar" sole and different upper.
I understand that the components are completely different, but do they feel anything alike? Would a runner who liked the original Zoom Elite like the Lunarelite?
Yes they were designed for the same runner, a lighter firmer mild support trainer for a tempo turnover.
The LunarElite failed to get anywhere near the ZoomElite- too rigid.
They are bringing the ZoomElite back next year.
The LunarGlide 2 is one hell of shoe! Light great support, my fav road shoe ever, just got the LG 3s still havent run in them yet but looking forward to it.
If you're looking for something closer to the old Zoom Elites you might try the Lunar Fly instead. I tried the original Lunar Glides and hated them. Bulky and stiff, way too much shoe for me.
Are the lunarelites suitable for an everyday training shoe...50 mpw, weigh around 155lb, forefoot striker.
Or are the lunarglide's better for everday training?

this is dead-on.
I'm not convinced as someone else said, that they're for the same runner either. I love the Glide. Hate the Elite. I supposed some may like the Elite, but I haven't found that person yet. It definitely has less support and less cushioning. I love the Glide, it has become my favorite shoe.
