I think I might be in the very early stages of some posterior tibial tendonitis. Last week I ran a fartlek and the next day I had some discomfort in the muscle behind my knee / on the side of my calf. After a few days it went away, but now I am feeling a small amount of pain on the inside of my shin.
The thing is, I have absolutely zero pain running or walking around. However, when I wake up in the morning or after a nap, I can feel a dull ache in that area. I've been icing and taking ibuprofen...is this something to be worried about or will it resolve itself in a couple days? I don't have any actual pain, but can feel something a little off on the inside of my leg about 3-5 inches above the ankle. (tendonitis, not a stress fracture)
Any thoughts / experience?
