16 year old Hamza Driouch runs 3.35 for 1500m

Equal to a 3:53-flat mile. Where was he born (to know whether he is age-legit)? Webb was already 18 (and 1 or 2 months) when he ran 3:53... so this kid is a bigger age-phenom than webb!?

He's 16 and 7/8 months (officially) just checked.

1:44.08, out in 50.8. Even if that guy's 22 and improves two seconds, you have a major league talent. Driouch, back a ways, looks something like El G and has a good stride for longer distances, maybe a bit floating for 8, not quick enough turnover compared to his opponents here, maybe better for 15.

And fine Driouch did run a fast mile in 2012 but still that is going on 3y ago... If he were really 3s faster than Webb at roughly the same age ( supposedly), he should be on the level of the other top 1500 guys now routinely.

The field in that 2011 World Youth 800m Champs (video above) was incredible. Hamza was 4th in a field including Mo Aman, Timothy Kitum (1:42 in London in 2012), Nigel Amos (1:41 in London in 2012), Wesley Vazquez of Puerto Rico, and Leonard Kosencha, the winner. All those other guys look at least 18 or 20.

Aman entered the race with a 1:45 pr, while the Kenyans had 1:48 pr's prior to the race and Nigel Amos a 1:47.
