What time should i shoot for? I have ran 51.0 in the 400 and 18:00 in the 5k. Could I run sub 2 or get close?

This is pretty much exactly what ventolin's calc is for. Unfortunately, I don't know the validity of those times, otherwise I would punch them into his calc for you. It depends what kind of races they are. You see, his calc is all about what the time would have been UNDER PERFECT CONDITIONS.
1:58.8
i ran those times (granted i didnt really try in xc) when i ran a 1 52 800m, not trying to get any hopes up, but 1 58 seems a bit slow given the open quarter speed
your kidding me..shoot for like 2.07 18 minute 5k sucks for highschooler even with a 52 440 thats called crashing hard on the second lap
