Nice race for Jenny, but we'll see what Uceny does tomorrow.
How is that a nice race for Jenny? Her personal best in under 4 minutes and she lost by almost 2 seconds and World Championships is next month. Did she fall or get tripped up is what you should be asking because that wasn't a good race for an athlete of her high caliber!
She hasn't been the same athlete since she left wetmore. She should at least go back to her old training....he is nowhere near being able to break 4min! I want to see her back in her old form
Take a look at the 3000m results--Biwott ran I think 12 seconds behind his season's best. Madrid is at altitude and distance runners run slow there. That being the case, Jenny's 4:07 may count as an improvement.

she best do it soon. Of course if she had signed with Nike they would have made her change before she cooled down. Her boss is a former Nike man so I would expect NB will up the pressure here soon for a post-season change.
The fact it was at altitude or not has nothing to due with Jenny being almost 2 seconds behind the winner and almost 1.3 seconds behind 3rd place. This close to World Championships she should have been more in the mix of things.
I hope she does rebound and have an outstanding performance at Worlds but this particular outing was hardly a good race for Jennny.
2100 feet is altitude? That's lowland where I live. Jenny has said in interviews that she trains at 7000' in Colorado, so that should be low country for her, too. I saw these results and thought it not too impressive a performance. I, too, hope she does better soon.
If Wheating ran a 3:39 would it be something to praise? How about 3:42 for Centro? Those times are 8 seconds off their PRs just like 4:07 is for JB. I'm not knocking her, just saying it's not newsworthy for someone who's run 3:59
