I don't pretend to know a lot about training, and today after a phone call with my brother, he was outraged that my coach made us do 800 repeats. He said it was way too early in the summer and that we would all be burned out by state.
Could anyone give me advice on the situation.
I ran 2:57, 2:54 and 2:48...our coach said that we were going to have around 3 minutes of rest, he specifically said that he wanted us to have plenty of rest so we wouldn't strain ourselves.
