Why is my second lap always the slowest? I can run 2:20 800 and 5:05 1600. The second lap is always the slowest with the first and last about the same. Suggestions?

I've said it before, I'll say it 1000 more times.
Running is 90% mental.
Man the f*ck up and you'll get faster.
Just realized you might be a girl, in which case don't be the typical chick and go out 5 seconds faster than you should.
Yes, I am Female. I have tried to go out different and it seems the same reults. Also the fact that almost all my races, there is nobody that will beat me, so I kind of think I have shown mental strength. Do you think an 13 year old running those times alone lapping other girls is weak? Does anyone have anything nice to say?
If you run faster when you're 17-18 then maybe you won't be considered weak.
run it on pure hate
I thought we decided 1600 was a little too far for that. 800m seems to be the most that pure hate is good for.
You are an exceptional runner if you are running those times as a 13 year old! Impressive! Your age may be why you are not pacing evenly. Enjoy your running and keep it fun. Go out a little easier on the first lap and then make a noticeable effort during the 4th section of the first lap to maintain a solid pace through the second and third laps. Your 4th lap will take care of itself. You are a great runner and are going to get better and better for many years to come. Enjoy it!
great job on the training and racing. But the answer is indeed that running is very mental - you have to convince yourself somehow that you can and should run faster that second lap. You CAN do it - you just need to find the mental strength to do it.

+1
likely you get out quickly and by the time you hit 400 you have already slowed. therefore you are starting lap 2 at a much slower pace than you averaged for lap 1.
however, most people have the 3rd 400 as their slowest.
try getting splits every 200m to see if you can find any helpful information
otherwise pick a less important race and try to run harder for a full 1200m and risk blowing up to see if you can break through or make a change
