With 11 days until USTF Outdoor championships has anyone seen or heard of Webb? Last Webb sighting was in Boston and the 4 minute tantrum!

50-50 odds on whether we see Webb again or not.
Pollen count is too high.
Last Webb sighting was in Boston and the 4 minute tantrum!
He's busy training hard to unleash a sub-3:30 tantrum at USAs.
On a serious note, it's too bad Alan can't seem to get it going. He obviously has tremendous talent. Perhaps it's time to move up to the 5K???
Webb is done. He may try another half-assed comeback in a few years, but will never break 1:49/3:40/13:45 ever again.
I think Rashid Ramzi 2012 is well marinated with chicken puss. Don't say never. I'd like to see Webb gun for that Mile/1500 WR, and comeback at the Olympic trials.
The lack of Webb news is really weird. A while back he dropped Salazar and then there were some articles about who his next coach would be.
Then his wife refuted that they had picked a coach and indicated they were still looking but he was healthy and his training was going great.
Things have been dead silent since then.
Webb is not entered, as is (not) Wheating and Manzano. More interesting perhaps is that Manzano had been entered in both the 800 and 1500, but has apparently withdrawn.
Maybe they're all going to run in the MASH Olympics.
Maybe he's being coached by Ryan Hall.
I wish the best for him, but am not too optimistic about the near future. On a side note, is Ritz training again? I haven't seen any updates from him in a while either.
Listen, Webb is done. No joking here, the guy trained like an animal from 01-07, peaked in 07. He is shot. He will never return close to his 143, 330, 346, 1310 form ever again.
I just had a chance to meet up with him and his wife last night at a track meet. Have to say, he is one heck of a nice guy. Not arrogant or selfish, just warm and friendly. He seems very likable and I would imagine if I got to know him better, that impression would last.
I wish people wouldn't assume that his career is finished because no one can really know that. He clearly has the talent and even though he's a bit later into his career, he isn't past that point where his aging has become an obstacle.
It's tough being Alan Webb as most of these pressures and assumptions that the world expects from him has got to be a terrible burden. That is a natural part of becoming great, everyone wants to cut you down.
I hope he runs well again and so can put to rest all these skeptics and critics who really have nothing better to do than make wild assumptions about something or someone they know nothing about.
So did you ask him how his training was going?
Yes I did, he said his daily routine consists of 4x cheeseburger + 5x chalupas.
That wasn't me

No. I don't know him well enough to ask. I figure, being a celebrity, it better to respect his privacy. Also, if he wished to share his training, that would be up to him to share and not for me to tell.

Stuck in 2003?
I saw him at the same meet last night. Looked like he downed several hot dogs and slices of pizza. Got me to thinking this guy could CRUSH the Big Mac Challenge. He could put that record out of reach!

Is that right? I didn't really notice what he had for dinner.
