So much insane talent in that age group.

Yeah, but that's 17 on the Kenyan Calendar, which means he's actually 20.

Maybe, but Zane was 93rd in the World XC and his brother Jake has run 13:32 for 5,000m so training in Kenya has worked well for them

Grice has run a 3:42 now.

What do the American rankings look like?
Link to the race. Grice will run 3:40 in the right race.
Plus he has another year in the U20 age group.
Cram ran 3:40.09 so Grice has two years to improve by two seconds to equal him. Freakish! Hope he manages to stay injury free and keep his feet on the ground.
Thanks for the link.

Cram ran 3:57 mile (3:40 equivalent) at age 17 himself. So, from that perspective, Grice has some going to catch up this year.
http://age-records.125mb.com/index.htmlGrice has only run three 1500s this year so he still has plenty of time. It's not really about matching Cram of course, but it's massively encouraging for him that he's even close.
I think Greyson and Fernandez run 3:42 at 17 or 18.
Charlie Grice from Britain ran 1:48.8 the other night. Pretty decent for a guy that's still 17 years old his 1500 PB is 3:42.8
German ran 3:45 as a 17 year old... Look where he,is now!

German will be back this year. He just had a quarter-life crisis.
