America's Most Boring Towns - Top 13 with pictures

I sense a very strong bias in this list. The top 13 most boring places are all in KS, CO and OK? Not a single town in ND or SD or Nebraska? Nothing in rural Arkansas? Nothing in Northern Texas?

I think the author might have a point if he tried photographing the town, not the local dennys.

Norman, OK is probably one of the most exciting cities in the state of Oklahoma due to the university there. Don't understand the hate for it. What is his criteria?

Yeah, serious bias here. More than half the entries are in Kansas. Now I have no doubt that Kansas is boring as shit, but there are 50 states.

Of course, I guess you could argue that small rural towns in other parts of the country are at least situated around beautiful scenery where there is access to interesting outdoor activities (hiking, climbing, spelunking, beaches, boating, skiing, etc). While Kansas and Oklahoma are just.....flat expanses of nothing.

I wonder how many students from other parts of the country actually relocate to go to go the University of Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. I mean, other than students on athletic scholarships. I'm sure there are non-athlete students from out-of-state who attend those schools, and I'd love to sit down with a few of them and ask why.

As a Kansan:

Bazine pop. 300 and Hutchinson, pop. 45,000. How can these both be on the same list? Plus, Hutch has the Cosmosphere, they have the Apollo 13 capsule and a lot of other NASA stuff. History has to count for something. I have trouble believing that there are no other towns to compete with Bazine, KS. Hell, I'm from a town of 150 - I'm sure Bazine is a freaking wild place in comparison, why isn't my town on the list?

Now a large portion of Kansas is flat and some might say "desolate". But the eastern 1/4 of the state in the Flint Hills is quite beautiful.

all that said, Belleville is shitheap.

As an outdoor enthusiast who grew up in the flatlands of the midwest, I can assure you I would have killed to live in a boring town only a couple hours drive from this:

Just settle for daily runs in your boring town, then tear shit up in the mountains on the weekends. Sounds good to me.

Without Bowbells, ND this list is suspect. Or Harkness, NY.

The motto for these towns: "It's not Hell, but you sure can see it from here."

Low budget article. Get out and travel a bit more.

This guy clearly hasn't been anywhere. The parts of Wyoming and Montana that don't have mountains, SD, ND, NE, SW MN, parts of IA. Hell, there are boring small towns everywhere.

La Junta, CO? Get real! You haven't lived until you've gotten ripped at the Hog's Breath. Mr. Majestic would be proud.

How could leave out Boring, Maryland, the town next to where I grew up? You know things are bad in Boring if you go to Reisterstown for excitement.

Believe it or not, I actually lost my virginity in Boring. Still have fond memories of that town.

Kind of a dumb premise... Once you get to a certain level of boring, I feel like you bottom out. I think I'd be equally bored in any of those towns (or ANY small town w/ nothing cool geographically).

I hate Norman OK but come on... They have a Big 12 school there with great facilities... That place doesn't even belong on the list. Cause if that is then College Station should be on there. And so Should Odessa and Midland
