The better part is you bolded the "train with Robbie Andrews" part as well,in that headline when there are other things that need to be in place for that to happen.

Pretty much really jumping the gun with that remark.

If Alan Webb wasted his time on these & other message boards trying to set you straight on every rumor that gets posted, he'd have so little time for running, he might get even slower than you

Do you suppose Webb still thinks he can get to S. Korea this summer or has he already moved on? He's such a mess.

I don't think Web is a good fit with Li (Lagat's coach) Lagat is moving up to the 5k quickly, and Webb still wants to be competitive in the 1500/mile so he will need a group that has great 800 meter runners. On the note of having a group that he can be the star, I think training with Vig is the best option. I think the best option of all is training with OTC but that is a team atmosphere so maybe the best of both worlds is Warhurst.

it continues to absolutely astound me that he is considering anyone except cook...there is no coach or group that is even close to being as good of a fit

You do know that Li coaches Boaz Lalang, right? Lalang is one of the best 800m runners in the world, is young, and can hold his own in the 1500 as well...

Letsrun did an interview with Cook about a year ago where Cook said that when Webb was thinking of leaving Razko in late 2009, one of the options was staying with Razko but having Cook give some input. I think Cook coached Razko or they're good friends or something, but Cook said he felt like it would be kind of a betrayal if he started coaching Webb after he left Razko.

Why do you keep doing this? You make an exaggerated statement ("It's official" or "totally bogus") then come back shortly thereafter to qualify. Just make the statement without the hyperbole or lack of context and you won't find yourself correcting/updating/apologizing later.

The story is probably going to turn out to be accurate, but the deals probably aren't 100 percent finalized yet. But he'll end up with Vig.
