I seems to have a problem with racing. I have good workouts but when it comes time to race this is what happens: i am focused at the start with a little nerves, gun goes off and im focused on the task of relaxing, breathing, and staying within reach of leaders or with lead pack. By the end of the first mile though I begin to lose focus and thoughts of "i should have done this or that workout." "I shouldnt have eaten blank." Then I start to feel my discomfort and cannot shake the thought of it. I need tips on focusing for my entire race.
