Wait--don't think of them as a waste of money yet. Have you tried modifying the shoes?
I got a pair of the LR2, and didn't really like the fit in the forefoot or the high heel counter.
My solution for the heels was to cut off the tops of the heel counters. I then taped up the loose and exposed bits with duct tape. The forefoot required my not using the bottom lace loops, and cutting a ~1cm slit (parallel to the length of the shoe) on the top side near the big toe joint.
With these two modifications the shoes went from completely unusable to ones that I really like and use quite often.
I think too many people are closed minded about shoes having to fit them just right off the shelf, and never tinkering with them. Once you buy them, they're yours, so make them work for you the best you can.
