This Saturday I'll be in what probably will probably be the 2nd deepest field for me this season (1st being state championship).
Including me there's 11 guys in both races.
The Mile Pr's from last year range from 4:27-4:43. I have the 2nd slowest
2 mile pr's from last year 9:37-10:39. I'm in the middle.
Right now I feel like I'm in about 4:46 shape.
What are some strategies I can use to give myself a fighting chance at medaling? Most of these guys are good XC runners while as I was only decent, but I have the strongest kick out there. I need to figure out how to position myself to use it though. Any ideas? thanks
