As an America East alum, I've enjoyed seeing the conference progress over the past few years. In XC, no conference had more men's teams ranked in the top 15 other than the Ivy League. Distance is getting deeper, not on a level with the big names obviously, but you might not score at the conference meet with times that would have won it in past years. Van Dalen's and women of Stony Brook throwing down. Andrea Walkonnen of Boston U. came into the NCAA meet with the top time last year I believe (or top 3 or so, she got hurt mid race I think, but got up there in the rankings during the season). Nice to see U. Albany dominance finally being challenged, the meet was somewhat close judging by results. Good stuff all over.
