Looking for runners or group to train with in Boulder. Elite runner coming off time-off from training. Am a bit slow at the moment but seeking fellow elites to do some runs with and whip me back into shape!
Thanks

anyone?
Most elite's in Boulder train on their own, or are very particular who they train with, probably because of their schedules. If you're coming out in the summer, there are tons of college runners running in groups or just join together for a casual morning run. Your best bet is to stop in at the Boulder Running Company on Pearl St. and ask who you can hook up with. You'll find plenty of people to train with.

Boulderite is exactly right. I was out at the woodchip trail across from the CU track last fall. While I was doing a workout, I saw Larson run by ... 15 minutes later Culpper ran by ... another 15 or 20 minutes later, Goucher ran by.
Next day I was out running on South Mesa trail, Goucher was out by himself.
I'de be more than happy to train with you. I have a friend I train with alot and we would love some more company. We've both trained with the CU team so we most likely will be able to accomodate you. email me if your interested Matthew.Piccarello@colorado.edu
Woodchip trail? Where's that? Surely, after running in Boulder for 4 years I would have noticed it.
its an aprox 800 meter loop next to potts
Boulder training groups are more cliquey than broads in a beauty parlour. The best group in town consists of Mike Dudley, Bills Teeth, and The BusBoy. They are waiting for their big break, especially Bills Teeth, who I am told still sells running shoes because he made some big bucks on wall street in 86 off mortage bonds. Teeth for president, Bus Boy for VP, and Dudley for town vagrant.
Are there groups to run with for the average 34-38 minute 10k runner (male) or 38-42 minute female 10k runner?
Is the cost of living ridiculous there and prohibitive to live there?

How do most posters on this board define elite? I didn't realize the US had so many elite runners. I guess my definition is just a little different than most.

Question 1) No, you have to make your own. You might be able to hook up with some $$$ groups, Ric Rojas, Running Republic of Boulder.
There is Boulder Road Runners, but they are now much older and much more "social" these days than in years past.
Question 2) Relative to most places in the US Boulder is very expensive, except when compared to NYC, SoCal, San Fran, etc.
Busboy is the shizznitts! He's the darkhorse of Boulder running! Go busboy!
It's all just a state of mind isn't it. No license is required to make such a claim.
I saw what looked like a group training near Coot Lake near Res this morning (Wednesday) at about 8:00. Any idea who this group was? They looked pretty serious, not some jogging group.
