LEGALIZE
The Spanish Federation found him innocent !!! I should guess he will only be allowed to ride in Spain for the next two years !!! NOT
well that settles it. Floyd Landis Tour De France Champion 2006
cycling is a farce along the lines of Professional Wrestling :)
I'd like to see the entire peleton strike if he is allowed in. Wouldn't that be beautiful?
The international bike people can still appeal this if they wish. I suspect they will.
Tainted beef. How did he have that excuse instantly anyway? I suspect he and guys like LaShawn Merritt have the excuse ready just in case they get caught.
Dude, he had 1/400th the level they test for. That is absurd. He SHOULD walk, and I want to see him race.
It doesn't matter how much it was, saying it was only a little bit is like saying Rozie Ruiz just cut a little bit off the Boston course the year she was initially declared the winner. Cheating is cheating, where do you draw the line if you decide it was only a little bit?
while i think he is guilty, this article provides some 'reasonable doubt'.

i don't have a link to reference, but i remember reading that the amount of drug found in contador's blood could not be explained by eating meat.
so who knows? i think he's guilty.
it wasn't the amount of drug that is the problem, it's the fact that they found chemicals in plastics that makes him look pretty guilty. it points to a tranfusion.
Can I just share a personal anecdote?
So every year I get the common cold- my nose clogs up, my sinuses inflame, and I just feel like shit for days until the illness goes away. I don't know, but sometimes this would last for weeks maybe a whole month. It comes with acid reflux and other annoying symptoms.
I've had this problem since I was a kid, and I'd go through the whole cycle of nasal decongestants, but they just cannot stop my problem. Not too long ago, my mother, who is a doctor, gave me sudafed, and since then I've used sudafed and my illness periods have decreased in length and severity.
Well, I have the problem yet again and I took sudafed, but out of curiosity I checked to see if Sudafed was a banned substance and sure enough I found that it was. Had I been an international athlete and tested positive, I'd have been stripped of my results, banned for six months - two years, shunned and ridiculed by sport fans and media... all because I was through with being sick forever. Yes, I should be aware of what things I am putting in my body, but in some circumstances the word "drug cheat" just does not apply.
Just my two cents.
That story is kind of pointless. Had you been an elite athlete, you would have done your banned-substances-list check before, not after, taking it. You would have done this not "out of curiosity" but because your job and financial security depend on it. And even if you'd taken the Sudafed, you probably wouldn't have ended up with plasticizer in your blood.
You had the problem since you were a kid, but your mother,
who is a doctor, just diagnosed and treated the problem. Bullshit.
If you were a professional runner you could declare the Phenylephrine and has a doctors note so you could use it and not be deemed illegally performance enhancing.

One of the first things your mother would have tried with those signs and symptoms is sudafed. Either your mom is actually a chiropractor or pathologist, or your story is baloney. Why do people exaggerate and lie CONSTANTLY on these boards? Some of the worst investing advice, health advice, and just plain ol nonsensical advice I've heard has come from this board.
And people like you and Fred are rude assholes who aren't worthy of having a conversation with.
Yes, but they seem to have nailed it. (you)
