Got a half marathon coming up. Not a distance I've race in a long while. What are some recommendations for a good warm up before the race?
I hope to hit about 6 minute pace and I run about 60 miles per week if that helps.

1-2 mi jog, strides, some drills, run the first mile or 2 of the race easy
10 minutes running, toilet stop, stretching, 3 strides throughs..gentle sprints over 80-100m and strip down to race gear at the last minute.

My rule is to run a couple miles working my way down to within 20 seconds of the pace I want to run the first mile. When I was running around 6 minute pace, I would want to run the first couple miles at 6:15-6:20. After that, work down to 6:00 pace and hopefully run a little faster the last 5k.
