What are the best times you think Chris Solinsky will run before his career is over?
1.) 5000m?
2.) 10000m?
3.) marathon?
4.) any other distance you have a hunch about?

1) 12:49
2) 26:40
3) 2:07.XX
4) 3:50 for the mile
12:36
26:16
2:04:58
1) 12:49
2) 26:59
3) 2:09
4) 3000 - 7:27
1.) 12:51
2.) 26:44
3.) 2:08:xx
4.) 7:28 3k
He can break 3:50.
His man thighs are thick and beastly. He has the mojo.
I say 26:35 for 10.
12:50 for 5.
12:51
26:59
It isn't that I think he can't go faster at 10k, it is just that I don't think he will. There just aren't enough high quality, international 10k out there.

I agree with you about the 10k, I was going to put 12:53 and 26:59.
7:29
12:53
26:59
2:07:30
12:48
26:51
2:12:30
12:53
26:53
2:11:53, or DNS, or DNF - the next Ritz, basically.
Agree- but for different reasons, Ritz is fragile, opposite of Solinsky. But Solinksy's size will hurt him on the roads, he should stay on the track.
I agree with you. The problem is that Mary Wittenberg will throw a lot of money at him. The temptation of NYRR dollars have set back several athletes. The most interesting part is that the NYRR will claim that they are doing it to promote US distance running.

U may have meant 2:03:58.
Maybe not.
No i actually think solinsky will continue to impress at the longer distances. my first reaction is to think solinsky isn't a marathoner, but then i realize that i am about his size and marathon is my best event. some big endurance guys can make it happen. usually they just dont have the speed. i see him running a 2:05:30 marathon at least.

Yeah, remember when we thought he was too big for the 10k and was pegged as a 28:00 debutant? What makes you think size matters? It's not like he's fat.

Marathons are for joggers. If Solinsky can be in the top 5 in the world (at 10000 if not 5000), he doesn't need the marathon crap until his career is over on the track.
