well:
1) Kim is not a US runner, though she does live in the US most of the time and went through the US college system
2) Kara G technically ran 1:06:57, though it was an aided course
He said "in the USA," meaning a U.S. soil record, not an American record. Goucher's run was in Britain.

He means it's the fastest ever run on US soil
just another wantabe import! go home!
That's a very impressive run. If she can stay healthy, expect big things- chasing sub 2:20- on the right marathon course.
Yes, she is going to be a serious contender next year in Houston at the Trials.
Kiwi. She'll not be anywhere near Houston next year.

She knows people, maybe she'll be there spectating/cheering.
Nice to beat one of Defar's records and for aussies and kiwis that keep track of these things, it's also an Oceania area record, beating Kerryn McCann's previous best time of 1:07:48.
Ah. Well then he should have said that.

Thank you long sox. it took 11 posts before I could find WHERE the race was run.
Douglas, your comments are always interesting, thank you, but this one could have had clarity.

Nah, the way he said it was actually pretty clear.
hey strictly anonymous- you're an idiot for trying to call out bobby e. out for making an accurate statement. learn to read and check your facts before you make a fool of yourself again.
congrats Kim, fantastic run!!!

"woman"
in the USA
This one didn't need any clarity at all, is was crystal clear. If you didn't know that Kim was the headliner at RnR NO, then you don't follow the sport. don't complain if you don't follow the sport enough to know something about the only race Sammy Wanjiru has run in the US, outside of Chi-town. oh, and kim could drink you under the table 7 days a week.

I ran the race today, and started about 20 ft behind her. I'll say this...she is mighty thin. She also smoked me by 20 minutes.
hopefully this translate to about 2:20-2:21 for Boston Marathon which would be a course record and win.
Really Kim, really? No really?
"My goal was to run a little bit slower because my coach didn’t want me to push it too hard"
Say 1:07.40? Come on stop playing with us now.
Prior to the race she said that unlike the unlike the previous year, this time she didn't cut down her mileage the week before the race: "To be honest, I’m feeling slightly tired coming into the race. I don’t think my PR will be in jeopardy this time out".
Good to see she gives plenty of credit to her coach, Ray Treacy.
