My week went pretty well, 3 quality runs and really nice, comfortable long run.
M: am - 6 easy (7:40) / pm - 4 easy (7:12)
Tu: am - 10 easy w/ random fartlek (6:50) / pm - 4 easy (7:25)
W: am - 10 easy (7:10) / pm - 4 easy (7:24)
Th: am - 9 total w/ 5 x mile w/ 75 seconds recovery (5:38, 5:32, 5:16, 5:14, 5:11) / pm - 4 easy (7:25)
F: am - 6 easy (7:31) / pm - 4 easy (7:23)
Sa: am - 8 total w/ 4 miles @ 20:36 (5:09 avg) / pm - 4 easy (7:16)
Su: 15 easy (6:36)
Weekly Total - 88 miles
YTD - 375 miles
The 4 mile @ 5:09 was done during a 10k, with me pacing a buddy of mine. He ended up dropping out at 3.5 miles, and I kept on rolling, I really wished I had registered for the 10k...because I felt gooood, and really wanted to run the whole distance. The effort felt fairly relaxed, not easy, but not a race effort either. This gives me a confidence boost that I could run 15:20 at my 5k next weekend....and if everything goes my way....I may have an outside shot at running sub-15. We'll see.
