I have had great luck with Balega. Should be available in your local running store. Good luck.
Gold Toe All-Pro
The toughest I have found are Zulu's, I think they are imported by Balega.

I haven't worn running socks in years, but the double layer (not padded) Wright Socks always worked well for me.
WrightSock Double Layer CoolMesh II Low Cut
not the cheapest sock ($26.99 for 3 pair on Amazon) but they are great.
no blisters, no holes, last for ages
Get some Swiftwicks. Best socks I've ever worn, easily!
try some personal hygiene re: toenail maintenance
I've been running 30 years and have never gotten a hole in the toe of a running sock

What they said. You aren't clipping your toenails properly or often enough if you are getting holes.

Which Balega socks are good? I'm looking at the hidden low cut dry ones.
You don't run enough apparently. Holes on the bottom or the side of your sock have nothing to do with the toes.

Lightweight white nylon socks from Walmart.
I think they're 3 pair for $2, and I usually get a dozen at a time.
I have about 10 pairs of those and they work great.
I've trained for and completed 26 marathons and I believe he said the holes were in the "toe area"
