I am running the usa 25 k race later this year .Is this race as big as gate river(the 15k usatf race)?

Wow. Nice information there, "His name is Ken". Gasparilla has the faster course for the 15k, since it doesn't have the "green monster" bridge at the end, like the Gate River Run. But Gasparilla is no where near as big as Gate River. Jacksonville is a great running city and the River Run had over 17,000 runners last year.

Gasparilla used to be the most competitive 15k in the country - until they quit paying $$ - now it is second-rate. The course IS faster - but competition is second-rate.

Other than the bridge, Gate is fast. Todd Williams ran American Record there - 42:22 - and Deena Kastor ran American Record of 47:15 there
