Naming Child after Company

I'm glad my parents didn't name me American Motors or Woolworths & Woolco - companies out of business of course.Expecting someone to give you money for a kid's name is silly too. Perhaps there's an instance of that, but to count on that, especially after you've already done it is not a smart idea. Plus, if your kid is awkward in any way, he'll get extra beatings if he's named after a cell phone company.Name your dog after a company.

First, should I push for our kid to be named after a major company?

Second, would a major company pay us for this legit advertising?

Third, or will you get sued for some trademark infringement?

Monty Widenius named his database application MySQL (sql is an acronym for structured query language) after his daughter My. I know it's the other way around but I can't see why certain instances couldn't do it the way the op suggested.

better yet, change your own name to that of a company. Leave your kid with a boring name for the time being.
