Bush wouldn't get credit on here or the libs, if every terrorist nation gave up and named Bush as the reason. Total intellectual dishonesty. I do hear the Republicans give credit to Obama when he does good. This exposes the character, or lack of, on both sides.
Just because Mubarak is leaving does not mean there will be freedom in Egypt. I am hopefully but wouldn't bet on it. Hopefully his replacement isn't worse.
Not sure, but we can definitely credit Bush Jr. for doubling the deficit.

And Obama for tripling it??
Hezbollah gets the credit for ousting Mubarak and ruining the Zionist regimes in Iraq, Israel, and Afghanistan.

seriously? i'd love to see examples of this.
as for the original question, how can we give bush credit for the current protests in egypt? he was a strong supporter of mubarak. we used egypt to torture suspects in our extraordinary rendition program. we trained (and still train) their military officers.
this is not to say that i think obama deserves credit for the protests either. i think he's done an adequate job navigating the current situation, but that is very different from giving him credit for being a primary, or even meaningful, cause of the protests.
the egyptian people deserve the credit. not bush, not obama, not twitter or facebook or google, or western people more generally.
and the tunisian people deserve the credit for their protests/revolution.
Personally, I would give the Tunisians and Egyptians credit ....
Conservative talk show host Michael Medved gave high marks to Obama for his Arizona speech after Giffords was shot.Rush always talks of the eloquence in which Obama speaks. All elected Republicans complimented his "stay the course" in Afghanistan. The left's problem is, most are so full of hate, they just assume everyone thinks the way they do. So you can't just disagree, no, you must hate them. I never understood that when I was younger and a liberal.

rush limbaugh??? and your example of credit for substantive policy choices and/or results is that he speaks eloquently?
ALL elected republicans compliment his afghanistan policy??? romney (who is not currently in office, but was once an "elected republican" and is likely to run for president again) just this morning said that obama's policy towards afghanistan is a failure.
finally (and out of order), one person gave him high marks for his arizona speech. first of all, again, that has nothing to do with policy substance. second of all, the large majority of conservative commentators criticized that same speech.
you're going to have to find far better examples.
many leading voices in the republican party even today argue that obama is a "socialist", a terrorist sympathizer, anti-american, etc. and a few of them even hold on to the notion that he was born in kenya and is a secret muslim.
I love when the Obama people blame Bush for the 09' budget. The budget was NOT written by Bush, was not even VOTED on by congress until Bush was out of office (they specifically waited so that Bush couldnt veto it) and was signed into law by Obama (who refused to cut any pork out with veto power because it was "old business"...HA)....HOW is this Bush's fault? Yes, it retroactively covered two quarter's of Bush's presidency, through NO FAULT OF HIS OWN...
Also, for those who continually claim that Bush was an uber conservative: Bush increased federal spending on schools 58% faster than Inflation. Bush became the first president to ever spend 3% of the GDP on federal anti-poverty programs. Bush actually did tilt the share of federal tax income more to upper-middle class and upper class than it was when he started his presidency. And he added 2.5 trillion in public debt.
Obama has since doubled the increase in school spending, added another TWENTY PERCENT to spending on anti-poverty programs, and is shifting the tax burden even more...and has added 2.6 trillion in public debt already...
Basically Bush was a spent a ton of tax money on federal programs libs approve of, and Obama is just doing more...The war and the stem cell stuff seems to be the big reason Bush is really hated...
Bush and his whole faggy Texan family are White imperialists. They have murdered millions in the Middle East.
You just proved my point, Dumbass. Even with people who disagree with this president's policies (and thank God that's a growing number) find a way to find a compliment.
Negative credit. As should Obama. Each administration has done its best to prop up the dictatorships in Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia as this approacj satisfied Israeli interests -- and the interests of some poweful Americans. Each admin did its damned best to prevent democracy.
If -- and it is still a very big if -- the Egyptian people are able to obtain any freedom and democracy it will be solely thru their own efforts
47% of the credit.
Truman setup the Nazis (aka Zionists) in the Middle East after WWII. Palestine was invaded by US backed Nazis from Poland, Russia, and Ukraine. Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill had earlier agreed at Yalta to give Palestine to the Nazis so that they would not rub-in the defeat. The Nazis had to compromise by rebranding their Fuher as the late Theodor Herzl. The WWI rubbing-in is what caused Nazi Germany to retaliate for the shame inflicted. Palestine as a Nazi haven is what helped post WWII Europe achieve stability and peace, and helped end the USSR. Hope this helps.
"give credit when he does good [sic]" has turned into "find way to find a compliment".so now you're saying opponents of obama's policies give him compliments. maybe, for example, that he dresses well. and for that they themselves deserve kudos for being more evenhanded than opponents of bush?you're setting the bar mighty low my friend.and you couldn't even manage to get above it yourself (see "Dumbass").

Reagan's approval rating was 40% (gallup) in Feb '83. He did rather ok during the following election.
His rating has been pretty steady for like 6 months.
