Boy wonder is racing in a pretty stacked field this weekend. Any predictions?
Here's mine: 8:29, after he realizes that he left one shoe untied and his other shoe is actually Dave Smith's house slipper.

He will have been dead for about 940 years.
either DNS, DNF, or close to his PR. Gian doesn't race/continue to race unless things are going his way.
8:53
Im calling 7:53ish. That mile was a fluke, stuff like that happens to everyone, he is just in the limelight so it seems like it occurs more often than usual. He's in good shape and in seattle. He wouldn't be there if he was not ready to run at least sub 8.
ummm.....7:53 is FAST. Really fast. If he goes under 8:12 I'd be surprised.

He ran under 7:53 last year after bombing horribly at XC. 8:12 is atrocious. My guess is 7:50, shutting everyone the f*** up.
I predict that whatever happens, he'll catch a lot of grief on these message boards.
Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!

Understatement of the day
7:45 FTW!
It was once joked that Dean Smith was the only "defense" that could hold Jordan to under 20 points scoring. Made me think of Smith/Fernandez; does anyne else think it's possible that Smith wants to keep him running well, but not outstanding yet in fear of losing him to the professional ranks? I predict that he will run 7:50 (again)and yet won't go to USA Championships Outdoors whre he finished 5th a couple years ago(too busy getting ready to help for another cross country team crown).

7:45. He is VERY fit right now.
I think he will bounce back from that 4:14 with a respectable 7:54.
His 4:14 mile from a few weeks back converts to a 8:24 3k with McMillan's Running Calculator.
But I bet he's in a bit better shape than that. My prediction is 8:20.
