I'm a junior girl in high school and I will be running for a D1 college. My question is: Do most colleges pair of teammates as roommates or are you put with a random person???

I was given the option of either rooming with somebody random (using only the questionnaire the school provides regular students), an athlete who was not a runner, or somebody on the team. I chose an athlete who was not a runner, and that was a good choice, I think. Somebody who respected when I needed to get to bed early because of a meet, respected the life of an intense athlete, but wasn't living with me, practicing with me, and around me all the time. That might have gotten annoying.
roomed with a swimmer my freshmen year before i roomed with another runner the next year. things were good because we each shared a similar schedule, shared the same interests, etc. things only got bad for like a week after the swim season ended and he went on a rager to celebrate the end of the season.
but for advice, you should try and room with someone on the team, your schedules will line up and you won't run the risk of being put with a roommate that's terribly bad (loud, smoker, dirty, partyin all the time)

Where I went to school, the runners did all of that too.
How incredible would it be to see 6+ Saugus girls and 3 Mira Costa girls in the same race! 9 girls from two teams is pretty outrageous. You almost have to feel sorry for the smaller programs in the state
Couldn't disagree more with the above post. It's two early to make predictions in my mind but there is no question by her performance this season that Pio can hang with Grabill, Mahoney and Baxter.
I think ur in the wrong thread buddy...

I think you need to go back and read what you wrote.
