Pretty "equivalent" performances, but the marathon was way harder if you ask me.
1:08:56 (windy day)
2:24:31 (perfect day)
1:15:36 - pouring rain and very windy
3:26:15 - 3 weeks "training" after 2+ years off. stupid idea
74:34 - 1st half marathon. was pretty shocked with the result. Based on other prs, goal was 78:30 (sub 6:00/mi), but I still saw that as a reach. came after upping my mileage and stringing together a few months of consistent training for the first time in a long time. it was very cold (race started in under 20 degrees)
2:42:11 - 2nd marathon. Was hoping for better, but I had a rough last 6 miles
1:23 - most recent, figure could now hit 1:18
3:49 - 1st and only; 7 years ago, not well trained.
1:14 and 2:37
Basically hammered the whole way both times. I imagine my marathon PR could have been faster if I had run more, the last few miles were slow and painful as hell.

Started running and trained for six weeks for first and only marathon. Was only 19 though
Then broke my ankle on a motor go-kart and had a year off! Joined a running club and after 2 years did the 1:14.35
Did a track 5,000m and found out I was better at that (although was not really doing the miles for long distance looking back) so never used to race above the 1/2
Rang my half pr in the middle of a 6 race series (Ron Hills' Tour of Tameside) run over a week and over a fairly hilly course. If you try to figure out when you run well you never will!
Should have done another marathon when I was younger though as that's the only time anyone ever asks you!

I suck

3:12:50
I suck too. Marathon was far more difficult.

N/A
I get injured too often to even think about trying the training for a marathon, much less running one. When I'm not injured, I average in the 30s per week.

I'm a woman and both were at 43 y.o. - been slowly downhill since then I'm afraid

Both in the same year, and both backed up by marks within a few seconds in different years.
