I believe i have a pretty bad case of runners knee but I was just wondering if it should be okay to do anytype of cross-training with this injury since most forms of cross training require bending the knee and this seems to cause some pain?

You should be fine to do cross training. Its the impact of force that causes pain during runners knee not the bending
