In Manhattan east or west side is an important identifier in location but neighborhood names are better.
Carnegie Hill is the neighborhood that houses "Freds Castle".
Yeah, a block from central park could be anywhere from Midtown West or Spanish Harlem. I think NYRR is UES in the 80's though.

Come on, give the guy a break. I wouldn't expect someone moving here to know the neighborhoods yet. A simple google map search shows that the headquarters are at 9 East 89th Street, NY
