since turning 21 a few months ago I've started casually drinking on a much more regular basis - is it unhealthy to drink a beer or a hard cider 4-5 days a week?

Yeah it's pretty unhealthy for your masculinity to drink any hard ciders ever.
/thread.
You'll be fine. There is evidence that a few beers every day is better for you than abstaining--just don't go overboard.

I am not sure "a few" beers is what was studied, I think it is one or possibly two "drinks," depending on your size.
To the OP, I think that is kind of common for anyone turning 21. The novelty will wear off and you will go back to drinking only when you have a reason to do so. At least that is what happened to me.

Well yeah, a "few" being 2-3. C'mon, isn't that just common knowledge here?
