Ex-Oregon All-American and Bowerman Award Winner, Ashton Eaton put on a dazzling performance at the two-day World Indoor Heptathlon Championships, winning the event and setting a new world record in the process. His point total of 6,568 was over 400 points higher than the nearest competitor, as he set several new personal bests during the competition. Eaton's time of 7.60 in the 60 meter hurdles would have been good enough to win the Indoor world championships last year. In addition to a 17' pole vault, he ran a 6.66 60 meter dash, long jumped over 25' and finsished the 1,000 meters in 2:34.74 (more than 6 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor). Superman???
