So I've been dealing with this injury for a while, at first a bunch of my muscles just kept going into spasm, glutes, quad/TFL, lower back, opposite side gluteus medius, etc. I dealt with a litttle bit of sciatia, but mostly IT band.
I am just about to come back from a nice little break from letting my IT band recover after not being able to run for more than 20 minutes without it bothering me. I was told by one physio it was probably SI joint problems and another that it wasn't so I'm looking for the opinion of the message board hopefully. If I could get any opinions that would be great.
If this sounds like SI joint problems, I've tried a week of self manipulation exercises I got from the physio, but after that the IT band problems kept happening (maybe I didn't do them long enough?) but the problem is that if it isn't SI joint problems I don't want to keep doing the adjustment movements until I end up really hypermobile on one side. Could this be a hip allignment thing maybe as well? I've been really strengthening the glutes, and rolling all all areas around the SI joint, TFL, hips, and adductors.
