UKA have accepted the test was AFTER he had retired but state that all people are subject to drug rules if they have not resigned from their club.
Not one person knows of this rule and if it was true then nearly all officials and coaches would be subject to rules and tue's etc.
It may be that Edwards may be suspect but rules cant be manipulated to get a conviction.
Also if the test was illegal ie,after he had retired, then does the blood test become criminal assault ?

Dont think it has to be.
Done under duress and not allowed by the protocols for taking blood.Not just a matter of WADA rules but real rules/law.
Has to have consent and consent has to be freely given and legitimate

US had the same case. You have to formally retire and submit documentation to the testing body. I do not know if he did that and was selected for testing anyway. However, I suspect that he just announced his retirement and did not do the required stuff with the appropriate (for him) WADA alphabet member.
your a bit of an idiot TROLL! This man has a business, a family. Think of the bigger picture! He HAS retired and is evidently a little less picky about what he eats/drinks or takes for that matter. Thats HIS choice. Do you know what substance it was? Is it something in medication? could it be he hasn't submitted a TUE (as he is retired) and has failed for prescription drugs.

Only athletes on the whereabout programme have to inform WADA type people ie UKAD and UKA.Edwards not on whereabouts.
