So I'm going on a road trip in a few weeks where the plan is to see a lot and do a lot. It's mostly small national and state parks. It's quite a bit of driving, and since we're limited by daylight, we need to start early. For instance, one of the days looks like this:
6:00 Leave
10:30 Arrive at park (it's a small one)
1:00 leave park
3:00 Arrive at second park (bigger; more things to do)
6:30 Leave, eat
etc
The two people going on the trip with me (I planned it and I'm driving) don't want to get up any earlier than 8:00, probably later. The problem is, like with the day outlined above, if we do that, we won't get to the second park until 5:00-6:00, which means we will either have to skip it altogether or just spend from 5:00-sleep time hanging out in town or at a motel. That's not really the point of the trip, and if we do that, it's going to make the trip two days longer, which in trun will cost more (I'm already on a pretty tight budget).
Am I being unreasonable in wanting to start early so as to get the most out of each day?
