I'm not a heavy sweater by any means. But it seems like if I don't wash my dri fit shirts or running shorts within the same day of running in them, they get a smell embedded in them that just won't go away no matter how many times i wash them afterwards.
what are some good companies or even specific running shirts/shorts that can withstand smell buildup for a couple days or don't absorb the sweat and make it stinky as bad?

Merino wool shirts never get smelly.
merino is about the best to control stink - i have been wearing nothing but merino lately and it is great not just for stink but regulating temp and comfort

agree. pricey but kinda worth it.
icebreaker for sure - been spending all my extra cash on that stuff lately - man it's good the 260 grade shirts have been great this winter
Try using Penguin Sports Wash. The first time, it seems a miracle.
Thriv makes good running shirts. i've actually worn them a few times without washing and they didnt smell (gross i know).
They don't really make real running shorts though.
