just wondering
just wondering
11.30pm kickoff time over here. 9am work the next day.
Of course i'll be watching don't be asking silly questions!
Not I, football is for clowns and thugs.
^^^Agree with maccabee. I'll be swooshing down a mountain during the game.
im not
I'll watch it, but the match up is pretty uninteresting to me. Two decent but not great teams. Hard to get excited about it.
Why would I miss it?
Its a fun part of our culture.
Technically, I'm 'watching' it but I think we're all putting it on mute, playing music, and eating food. None of us care about the superbowl at all.
Yes, it's a man's game, therefore I don't expect most of the pipsqueaks on this board to be interested.
50/50 chance. depends how bored I am
Not particularly. I might go to a movie. The whole TV spectacle is way way too long, and this is about the least compelling matchup in a decade.

What??
I'm thinking the opposite. Two high powered defenses & then with the offenses you have good guy Rodgers vs bad guy Roethlisberger. Plus two blue collared fan bases with die hard fans. What more could you ask for? Who would you rather see matched up this year?
Haven't watched one in years. I think Joe Montana played in the last one I watched. I do follow the college game a little, but only watch the games my alma mater plays. I guess it's an important part of our culture, just not a part I'm in touch with. As compared to football, running is a counter-culture or at least it's own little sub-culture, and I prefer to be there.
I always go for a run during it, everyone is at home, nice to have the trail at park to myself.
The SuperBowl is mindless USA USA propaganda and commercial brainwashing.
I hate football culture.
I don't think we have to pretend to care about football. Football doesn't care about us.

Sounds like someone's favorite team didn't make it. If you don't think this is one of the most compelling superbowls in recent history you are clueless. The ratings will be through the roof, based on both the storied history of both these teams and their different paths to success this year. The Packers peaking at the right time with good guy Rodgers finally getting out of Favre's shadow and leading the way, against arguably the most successful franchise in the last decade with bad guy Ben leading the way. Very interesting stuff.
Damn you all sound like a bunch of pretentious douche bags. If you don't want to watch it, fine. But don't think you are better than everyone who does watch it.
I'll be watching it at a party with probably 40 or 50 folks. One of my old roommates is a huge packers fan and as a raiders fan it's easy for me to root against the steelers. Let's go PACK!
It's ok to think your sport is better when it actually is better. Football causes brain damage. Running (and other highly aerobic activities) actually aids brain funtioning. Which would you rather have your kid do? Sometimes it is entertaining, but mainly I think of the NFL as just a step above the WWF.
