Dean is not exactly breaking new ground here. The record is 45 days.

What continent?
I just don't get it. How does one fit guy running across the US bring awareness to obesity? Wouldn't his time (and money) be better served going around school to school and inspiring kids? I guess there's no glory in that though. Kind of obvious what is most important to Dean...a huge kick-off at Disneyland followed by a several month long love-fest of all things Dean.
Wonderful.
Didn't Bruce Tulloch do this about 40 years ago
Don't think Dean K won European Gold though

and ran barefoot!
Terry Fox did it better up in Canada.
TF quit before finishing, but he had his reasons.
Forrest did it a few times
The "unthinkable"? Seems like you wrote "runs across America", therefore you must have thought it (unless you are just a chimp, randomly hitting keystrokes).

Bruce is a hero. Also one of the smartest coaches around in the UK.
The question is, would he have worn Vibrams if offered a pair?

You might as well wear splippers
