So, this may belong in the Adult Confessions thread, but I have no idea what do to about my taxes this year. I am almost 40, and my dad's uncle has always done them. I bascially handed over the paperwork, answered a few questions he had, and signed a few forms. A month later I'd get my checks from Fed and State.
Now he's retired, so I'm on my own to file.
I know I could walk into an H&R Block and do what I've been doing, but is it worth paying them whatever they charge? My situation is fairly simple. I guess the only potential complicated part is I work across the state line. Can I do this thing myself, and if so, what is the most dummy-proof way to file?
