For the last few years, one or more of my fingers (not always the same ones, and sometimes not even the whole finger) will get waxy, white/yellow in color and turn numb. Sometimes this lasts for over an hour. Often those fingers feel cold but sometimes they're warm to the touch. Today it lasted for two hours and moved to and from multiple fingers to during that time. This most commonly happens after long runs (at any temperature) and after shorter runs in cold weather. The weird thing is that this tends to happen 30-45 minutes after my run has ended - often when I'm warm again but perhaps still sitting around in wet clothes or even in the shower. I'm a mid-40s female, 5' 8", 115-120, BP is 90/60 and resting pulse is around 42. My body fat is pretty low, but I'm healthy and, aside from having relatively cold hands and feet, don't have any circulatory problems. I've read that this could be related to low iron, but that's not an issue either. No life or death situation here, but it's a little bizarre and somewhat annoying. I wear gloves and hand warmers when the temperatures dip, so it doesn't seem to relate to cold hands during my actual runs. Thanks for any thoughts or advice.
