Well, my apologies for doubting your own prose stylings. Let's be honest, though, your creative writing professor doesn't know how to write a blurb for shit. Honestly, you might want to consider having someone else do one for you. Upon reading that, as you saw, I assumed your writing must also suck. It very well may not, but I'll leave that up to others to decide as I don't have 15 bucks.
Well, the first thing to know is that happy, self-confident people don’t put others down. They provide constructive criticism. This tells you a lot about the quoted poster.
So why is the poster so negative about Phil's book?
Maybe he needs to make himself feel like he's powerful and in control.
Maybe his wife beats him day and night at chess and basketball. (Wait, he's not married).
Maybe he's hiding his financial insecurities.
Maybe he's been traumatized in the past and doesn’t know how to deal it---being a pain in the ass is his defense mechanism.
Maybe his pants are too small and his hat is too large.
The tirade and sniping and general negativism against other people and the team reveals how unhappy and disillusioned and frustrated that person is with his life---such as it is---but it's his problem. He wants successful people such as yourself to feel badly about themselves, too.
Just sayin'.
Now if you'll excuse me I am extremely flushed with pride right at the moment, because I have just psychoanalyzed and encapsulated all of the Letsrun trolls over the years.
